I tried. I was supposed to fail, and I did in making a play set of Tibalt part of a competitive deck. It was a great challenge. The reanimator shell is the best one I could come up with, but as in previous deckbuilding fails, I ended up wanting to replace the play set of Tibalts with some other card. Here are the losses (there are no wins) in tournament practice. I forecast that Splinter Twin will be banned just like Birthing Pod was banned: its a degenerate infinite combo that is bad for Modern. I am glad I chickened-out and did not build a twin deck. I am much more interested in beating it.
1. Delver
2. Devotion to Green
3. Koth. Check out those ultimates. Chalice of the Void against my one drops... lots of denial in this Koth deck.
Here I get cornered by Blood Moon and Ensnaring Bridge.
4. Twin
Blood Moon again. I need to learn how to beat it in red or using artifacts.
